Sonia Rykiel

A France famous fashion designer, Sonia Rykiel,who was crowned "Queen of Knits" by the Americans in the 19 Century. Her colours are usually beige, grey, dark blue and charcoal.

She was voted one of the world's 10 most elegant women. She proved that knitwear can follow any trend. Rykiel also hit the current idea of the big soft fun fur done as a huge bubble of colour, in her case baby pink, purple knitted fox or teal-blue Mongolian lamb.

Sonia Rykiel had not been educated in professional design schools. Her first design in 1962 and 1968, she opened her first boutique. In 1989, her daughter presents the first collection and Sonia Rykiel works with her daughter now.

Sonia was born in the years of WWII, cause a great effect on her design in early years. Achromatic colour scheme has been used usually

I like retro colour...actually
but not too dirty feeling..something lash or fade out colour give a natural feeling....these colours cannot be "created".
Raw edge with some dark and grey....all color seems to be added by tone or shades.
Like a old worn out shoes.... The colour they have are uniqueness.
